ST. LOUIS CAPPIES
The CAPPIES is a nation-wide High School Theater Critic and Award Program. The Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation helped to establish this program in St. Louis in 2005. The St. Louis CAPPIES program will begin its 5th year in the Fall of 2009 under the direction of the St. Louis CAPPIES volunteer steering committee and a grant from the Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation.
The CAPPIES are additionally supported by The Saint Louis Post Dispatch, Lindenwood University and The Muny. For their roles The Saint Louis Post Dispatch publishes leading high school critic theater reviews online at STLToday.com, Lindenwood University offers annual scholarships to all Saint Louis CAPPIES participants and The Muny subsidizes annual gala costs. New in 2009-10 will be the addition of support from KDHX 88.1 FM Radio. High school critic reviews will be taped and aired on KDHX Radio weekly!
