EVITA Master Class
October 16, 2013

Caroline Bowman (left) and Desi Oakley (right), from the National Tour of Evita, answer questions about playing the iconic role of Eva Peron. Bowman auditioned seven times for the role. She noted that Andrew Lloyd Weber had to give the final approval before she was given the part, resulting in a full week between her final audition and being cast. Oakley, the Eva Peron Alternate, plays the role two times per week.

John Emery performs a mock audition for Caroline Bowman and Desi Oakley from the National Tour of Evita during this master class at the STAGES Performing Arts Academy.

Master Dance Class

Gregory Haney, La Cienega

30 students took class at COCA

"Class will be a mix of jazz and hip-hop. It's an urban mashup of both styles while still maintaining technical undertones. My background in dance comes from ballet, jazz, modern, and hip-hop so you will definitely get a mix.  Another focus of the class will be story telling as dancers are storytellers with movement"  --Gregory
